05 October 2023 - by Admin

Acquiring a Second Home Visa or Stay Permit in Indonesia, as per the guidelines outlined in Director General of Immigration Regulation No. IMI-0820.GR.01.01 of 2022, involves a series of meticulous steps. To begin with, foreign nationals or their sponsors are required to submit a comprehensive application, which includes essential documents like a passport with a minimum validity of 36 months, a statement letter confirming ownership of at least IDR 2 million, or a property ownership certificate, accompanied by a photo ID. It is also imperative to demonstrate sufficient financial evidence, which can take the form of a bank statement or account proof showing a deposit of IDR 2 billion in a state-owned bank account or a property ownership certificate. This application must be submitted to the immigration office within 90 days of obtaining the Second Home Visa or Stay Permit.

Additionally, attention must be paid to the financial aspects of this process. There is a tariff payment of IDR 3,000,000 that must be made in person, or offline. In cases where the applicant or the foreign national is unable to make this payment, the guarantor can take care of it. The Second Home Visa or Stay Permit is issued in electronic format and delivered via email to the applicant. This document serves a dual purpose, acting as both a residence permit and a re-entry permit, and it will be issued at the Immigration Checkpoint upon the individual's arrival in Indonesia. By fully understanding and following these procedures correctly, foreign nationals can enjoy extended stays in Indonesia in compliance with the prevailing regulations, providing them with opportunities to explore and experience the country's diverse offerings.
